The Search + Rescue series was inspired by illustrated figures
from water safety manuals of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s.
Devoid of their original context, these re-created figures
assume postures that are both innocent and mysterious.
Originally presented as part of the “Stonewalled” celebration
at the Art Queen East Gallery in Joshua Tree in summer 2016.
